Great putters almost make every putt, even though they miss a lot more than they make. But all great putters have a stroke that they are committed to perfecting, and they spend their careers working on it to make it better. ==================================================== Golf Tip: Tracking Your Putt Speed ==================================================== During one of the Advanced Putting Lessons last week, I mentioned a good way to track if the speed of your putts during a round of golf is "up to par" or not. One of the students asked me to elaborate and I decided to share my answer as this week's tip, here it is: "Hi Mark, when you miss a putt on the high side, which would be above the hole for a breaking putt, or when you miss a fairly straight putt with a putt that's too long, mark an A on your card next to your score for the hole. When you miss a putt on the low side - below the hole for a breaking putt, of if you leave a putt short, mark a B on your card next to the score for that hole. If the A's and B's balance out, or if there are more B's than A's, the speed of your putts needs to be addressed. If there are about 65% A's on the card, your speed is probably pretty good." Thanks for the question Mark.... Enjoy, Tom
