Lag gives you maximum uncoiling through impact, here's a quick and easy drill to
help you develop lag.
As your backswing gets to or near the top, execute a slight lateral bump to get your weight over your target side,
then turn your belt buckle without moving your clubhead. By the time your lead arm gets parallel to the
ground (9 O'Clock) your belt buckle should be back to the ball.
Think about turning your belt buckle as your clubhead stays at the top.
By turning your belt buckle before the golf club starts to come down:
- you start your downswing with your body, not your arms
- you generate more club head speed
- and you will develop a good swingpath into the ball.
