Tom's Tips

During the impact phase, the left leg begins straightening, which allows the hips to release and rotate correctly. Hips in flexion can't rotate, straightening the left leg gets them out of the forward tilted position (flexion) attained in the backswing, and into a flat position which allows continuation of hip rotation.
